Newborn
I can't count how many times I have heard someone say they regret not getting newborn images done of their child. I can understand that regret completely, I was unable to capture my sons at their newborn stages. They came to me weeks and years old, and to this day I wish I could have images of them in this fresh newborn stage. Capturing your children at this stage is not only a chance to capture beautiful memories of their little gassy grins, or how their legs and arms curl in towards their body as if they were still in the womb. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this new chapter in your family's life, whether this child is your first or your fifth, this newborn stage is incredibly unique and their beautiful beginning. I approach this session with the eye of an artist and a heart of a mother, I work to capture all of the tiny details I know you will be able to enjoy for years to come.
This session is held in my studio, and I know it sounds like a lot of time, but it could take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to complete. The reason for this is that I do not want to rush your baby, if your baby needs to eat or has gas, breaks will be needed while we settle baby back into their deep sleep. I work to keep baby safe and calm during this session, because your baby's safety is my highest priority. These sessions are very laid back and relaxed as I ask you to sit back and let me take care of everything. I have had many parents fall asleep during these sessions, and honestly I cannot blame them, with the warm and calm studio atmosphere, if I wasn't so focused on my work, I would fall asleep too!
